Bay-O-Vista Fitness News โ€“ March & April 2026

With the Super Bowl and Winter Olympics behind us, we leap into the spring season. At the time of writing this article, we are experiencing multiple storms with heavy rainfall. As much as this can be an inconvenience for outdoor plans, we know it is essential to keep our reservoirs full and nurture the new spring growth.

New growth can mean enhancing oneโ€™s personal health and wellness goals. Changing a few habits can lead to many positive changes in our lives. As a reminder, here are some well-known health tips to help prevent early aging and keep chronic stress at bay:

๐ŸŒฟ Healthy Living Reminders

  • Eat well-balanced diets including colorful fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds

  • Drink water throughout the day

  • Exercise, practice deep breathing and meditation

  • Aim for 7โ€“9 hours of quality sleep (limit screen time at least 30 minutes before bedtime)

  • Get sunlight exposure, especially in the morning for 10โ€“15 minutes

  • Socialize and keep a gratitude journal

๐Ÿง˜ Workshop Series Update

This winter we held two workshop series, including Yoga for Longevity with Dana on Saturdays at 10am. The series was successful, and we hope to run it again in June. In the meantime, we are looking for more opportunities for Dana to teach and sub.

Thanks also to Kara, who has been teaching the Strength and Power class series on Wednesdays at 6am for our early bird members. We are happy to announce that we can extend this series until 4/29/26.

Thank you all for the feedback on these workshop seriesโ€”it truly helps with future programming.
